Boyle Wins PA's 2nd Congressional District: Election Results
Democrat incumbent Brendan Boyle has been named the winner of the 2nd district race, defeating Republican challenger David Torres.

Boyle has 154,058 votes and Torres has 41,323, according to data provided by the state.

Boyle's margin of victory continues to grow, with state figures showing 147,718 votes to Torres' 40,376.
So far, 82 percent of districts are reporting.

Brendan Boyle, the incumbent Democrat, has held his seat as Pennsylvania's 2nd Congressional District representative.
Boyle, per the Associated Press, has 96,268 votes to David Torres'26,923 votes with 61 percent of districts reporting.

Boyle's lead continues to grow as more districts report in, with Boyle the projected winner.
With1 17 percent of districts reported, Boyle has 24,791 votes to Torres' 8,061.

Boyle, a Philly native, has held his seat since 2014 and before that served in the state legislature.
He worked to support record public school funding under Governor Rendell, helped gather bipartisan support for Act 89, the first major transportation bill passed in Pennsylvania in 20 years, and fought against Republican led cuts to our public schools and attacks on organized labor. Torres, also a Philly native and small business owner, previously worked as the director of a drug and alcohol program in Philadelphia, worked in shelter programs in the city, and said he knows the value of union employees. You can read Torres' bio online here.
