Robber Pulls Woman To Ground, Drags Her: Philadelphia Police

Philadelphia Police said the man seen here robbed a woman of her purse, and in the process, pulled her to the ground and dragged her.

PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia Police are searching for a man who was caught on video robbing a woman and knocking her to the ground in the process.

The incident occurred at about 5:28 a.m. Feb. 5 on the 6900 block of Torresdale Avenue.

According to police, the victim was waiting for the bus when the suspect pulled the strap of her purse, causing her to fall to the ground.

Police said the suspect then dragged the victim for a short distance.

The man ran off with the victim's purse on the 4600 block of Disston Street. The purse contained cash, a Samsung Galaxy 9 cellphone, keys, and identification.

The suspect was described as a 30-to 40-year-old black man standing six feet tall, weighing 210 pounds, with a full beard. He was wearing a blue and green striped shirt, blue jeans, and boots.
