Saquon Barkley Home Invasion: What We Know About The Main Line Break-In

TREDYFFRIN, PA — An invasion into Philadelphia Eagles star Saquon Barkley's Main Line home remains under investigation, with no arrests announced as of Monday.

Here's what we know.

The Basics

Police responded to a burglary in progress at Barkley's home around 5:10 a.m. Saturday in the Malvern section of Tredyffrin Township.

The unknown suspects fled before officers got there, according to Tredyffrin Police.

Barkley and his family were home during the break-in. But no one was hurt, and investigators believe nothing was stolen, Tredyffrin Police Cpt. Tyler Moyer told NBC10.

Detectives Seeking Clues

Authorities are asking area residents to check their home security cameras for any suspicious activity that happened around 5 a.m. Saturday.

"If you saw anything unusual or have video that may assist investigators, please contact the Tredyffrin Township Police Department immediately," said the Chester County District Attorney's Office.

Tredyffrin Police shared a photo of a white SUV believed to be involved. But investigators think other suspect vehicles may have been present.

Tredyffrin Police are determining whether the incident may be linked to break-ins targeting professional athletes across the country.

They're working with other law enforcement agencies, including federal partners, to see if that's the case.

Two years ago, the NBA and NFL issued memos to athletes warning of break-ins into athletes' homes, possibly at the hands of a organized crime syndicate. The Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce were among the victims.

"We will look at all angles of this because we know, obviously, it's been all over the news in the past few years about different professional athletes' homes getting burglarized," Moyer told NBC10.

Tredyffrin Police haven't received reports of similar activity in the township.
