Bella Vista Deli Closes After 20 Years

A health condition led the owner to make the hard decision.

PHILADELPHIA – A neighborhood in Philadelphia is now without a staple, as a Bella Vista deli has closed after 20 years.

Sarcone's Deli owner Anthony Bucci announced Friday, Aug, 4 the South 9th Street business would close as he continues to deal with a heart condition.

Bucci apologized for the closure, but reassured the loyal customers who patronized Sarcones' for 20 years that making the decision was a difficult one.

He told loyal costumers who have come to Sarcone's for its 20 year run that he loved them and thanked them.

Philly.com reports a new occupant could be in the South 9th Street location as soon as fall.
