The Museum’s extensive collection is highly unusual for a historic house museum as almost all the items belonged to the Grundy family. According to the district, all schools will be closed Monday, March 16 through Friday, March 27. The district said there are no suspected cases of the virus in its schools or offices. "This closure has become necessary as many SDP employees who reside in neighboring counties are being asked to avoid non-essential travel and to not report to work," the district said. Sixty-three School District of Philadelphia Schools closed Friday due to staffing shortages as many teacher live in Montgomery County, which Gov. Tom Wolf on Thursday effectively closed due to the high number of coronavirus cases in the county.
