Search Continues For 2 People After Baby Abandoned At Philly Walmart

Three individuals fled the store after an attempted theft, police said, leaving the baby behind.

PHILADELPHIA, PA — A manhunt continues for two suspects after a three-month-old child was abandoned at a Philadelphia Walmart recently following an attempted theft.

The incident occurred on Thursday, Jan. 18 at around 11:30 p.m. at the store on the 4300 block of Byberry Road.

Alganon Muhammad, 22, and two other individuals were stopped by store security after they attempted to leave the store with merchandise.

Muahammad and two other adults fled the store, leaving the child behind.

Muhammad surrendered to police last Friday.

The child was not injured.

The other two individuals have been identified only as a white woman and a black man.
