Search For Man In Delaware River Conducted In Philadelphia: Reports

PHILADELPHIA — An investigation is underway after Philadelphia Police were told a man went into the Delaware River and never resurfaced Wednesday, according to reports.

Officers were called just before 7 p.m. to the 100 block of South Columbus Boulevard near Penn's Landing, according to NBC10 and 6abc Action News. They were told a man went missing after entering the water.

Multiple agencies searched the river but found no sign of him. The search was suspended for the night, 6abc said.

It wasn't immediately clear whether search efforts will resume. Patch contacted authorities with questions and will update as more information becomes available.
