Serial Robber Hits 3 Dunkin' Donuts In 4 Days: Philly Police

The man robbed Dunkin' Donuts on Germantown, Torresdale, and Frankford avenues between Feb. 12 and Feb. 15, Philadelphia Police said.

PHILADELPHIA – Three Dunkin' Donuts stores in Philadelphia were targeted by a robber in four incidents that occurred between Feb. 12 and Feb. 15, according to Philadelphia Police.

Police said Dunkin' Donuts at 3705 Germantown Ave., 5233 Torresdale Ave., and 5200 Frankford Ave. were hit by a robber on Feb. 12, Feb. 13, and Feb. 15.

The first incident occurred at 12:29 p.m. on Feb. 12 at the Germantown store. A man came into the store and approached the counter with his hand in his pocket making it seem as though he had a gun, police said.

He grabbed an undisclosed amount of money and fled the store heading south on Germantown Avenue then getting into the Broad Street train line on the northeast corner, according to police.

The suspect is described as a black male in his mid 20s. He was 5 feet 8 inches tall with a thin build and was wearing a brown down coat with tan fur around the hood, blue jeans, and black boots.

Then at about 6:37 p.m. Feb. 12, the same day, a man entered the Torresdale store with his hands in his shirt acting like he had a gun and demanded money from employees, police said.

The suspect got an unknown amount of cash and fled on foot heading toward the 2100 block of Kennedy Street.

The suspect's description is similar to the first incident. He was a black male in his 20s, about 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall with a thin build. He had a stubble beard and was wearing a blue/gray “Nike” hooded sweatshirt, and blue jeans with holes in the knees.

On Feb. 13 at 4:20 a.m., the Frankford Avenue Dunkin' was robbed, police said.

Again, a man came into the store simulating he had a gun in his pocked and demanded money from the register, police said.

After getting the money, he fled on foot and was last seen on SEPTA surveillance video getting on a westbound train at the Bridge and Pratt station then getting off the train at Kensington and Allegheny avenues, police said.

He's described as a black male, 20 to 30 years old, standing about 5 feet 10 inches tall. He had a dark complexion, a goatee, a thin build, and was wearing a mask, black knitted cap, gray North Face hooded jacket with a red North Face emblem on the front, and blue jeans with rips on knees.

The last incident occurred at about 5:34 a.m. on Feb. 15 back at the Germantown Dunkin', police said.

A man wearing a white hockey mask came into the store, pointed a caulking gun at an employee, and demanded money, police said.

He got an undisclosed amount of money, but an employee then tackled the suspect, forcing him to drop some of the money, the mask, and the caulking gun, police said.

The suspect ran out of the store and fled in an unknown direction, police said.

He was described as a black male about 30 years old, standing 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing about 145 to 150 pounds. He was wearing a white hockey mask, a tan hooded sweatshirt, black shirt, blue jeans, and black sneakers.
