A 21-year-old man employed by the city was shot to death Thursday morning at a corner store in the Point Breeze neighborhood.

PHILADELPHIA — A Philadelphia city employee died after being shot at a corner store in Philadelphia's Point Breeze neighborhood.

Fox 29 reports the shooting occurred just before 9 a.m. on the 2300 block of Oakford Street.

The victim, a 21-year-old man, was shot in the arm and lower back after an altercation escalated to a shooting, according to NBC10.

He was taken to a hospital where he died.

Three juveniles are sought in connection with the shooting.

Police surrounded a home on the 2200 block of Titan Street, where they believe one of the suspects was located, Action News reports.

The victim is employed with the city's Streets Department, according to reports.
