Woman Killed, Child Critical After House Fire In Philadelphia: Reports
The victims are mother and daughter, according to 6abc Action News.
PHILADELPHIA — A woman died and a child was critically injured in a house fire early Friday in South Philadelphia, according to reports.
The fire was reported around 4:45 a.m. on the 2600 block of S Mildred Street, according to NBC10.
Two women and a child were rescued, officials told 6abc Action News.

One of the women died at the hospital at 5:35 a.m., and the child was brought to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in critical condition, NBC10 says. Family members told Action News that they are mother and daughter.
The other woman rescued was also brought to a hospital, but her condition wasn't immediately available.

There weren't any audible smoke alarms inside the home when firefighters arrived, officials told Fox 29.
It's unclear whether any other homes were damaged. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
