PHILADELPHIA — St. Patrick's Day and the days surrounding it are a big deal here in Philadelphia. So big in fact that a recent study listed Philadelphia as the second best city in the nation to celebrate the Irish holiday.

But how are you going to celebrate the day this year?

3rd Annual St. Patrick's Day Philly Official Bar Crawl — The Gaslight, 120 Market St., Philadelphia

Noon to 8 p.m., Saturday, March 16

Stop by more than 30 Irish pubs, sports bars, Mexican bars, and more during the 3rd Annual St. Patrick's Day Philly Official Bar Crawl. Some participating establishments will have food and drink specials, entertainment, photo booths, St. Paddy's swag, and more.

Drink Specials include $3 Coors Light, $4 mixed drinks featuring Bushmills Red Bush Irish Whiskey, and $5 green tea drink featuring Bushmills.

Participants must bring an electronic or printed version of your ticket and have their ID, as the event is 21 and up only. After checking in, you’ll get a map of the other participating bars.

St. Paddy's Day at Springfest Live! — Xfinity Live!, 1100 Pattison Ave., Philadelphia

2 p.m., Saturday, March 16

Xfinity Live! will celebrate St. Patrick's Day with more than 170 beers form more than 75 breweries to sample at its event Saturday. Of course, some of the beer will be green to honor the Irish holiday. St. Paddy's Day at Springfest Live! is a 21-and-up event.

Evil Genius St. Paddy's .5K — Evil Genius Brewing Company, 1727 N. Front St., Philadelphia

1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday, March 17

Evil Genius Bewing is hosting a .5K run/walk/jog. No, not 5K as in 3.1 miles, .5 k as in about one third of a mile. Attendees can dress in their favorite St. Patrick's Day suit or basically anything green and run/jog/walk/crawl around the block and meet back at Evil Genius for a pint of beer.

Proceeds benefit Fishtown Neighbors Association and its Beautification Committee, which improves quality of life in Fishtown by building anti-litter infrastructure, supporting grassroot block-level clean-ups, and promoting trees and green spaces.

Tickets are available online here and include two draft beers of anything on tap, a Paddy's Day hat, and more gifts.

"Leprechaun" movie screening — South Street Cinema, 327 South St., Philadelphia

7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 16.

South Street Cinema is giving attendees the chance to choose which of the many "Leprechaun" horror films will be screened in honor of the holiday. In keeping with St. Paddy's traditions, the popcorn will be turned green.

1st Annual St. Patrick's Day Official Bar Crawl in Manayunk

Noon to 8 p.m., Saturday, March 16 — Sona Pub & Kitchen, 4417 Main St., Manayunk, Philadelphia

Manayunk now has its own official St. Paddy's Bar Crawl. Similar to the official Philly bar crawl listed above, participants must bring an electronic or printed version of your ticket and have their ID, as the event is 21 and up only. After checking in, you’ll get a map of the other participating bars.

Participating bars include Sona Pub & Kitchen, JD McGillicuddy's, Ryan's Pub, Bayou, Cactus, Pitcher's Pub and more.

Drink specials include $3 domestic beer, $4 mixed well drinks, $5 Irish Whiskey drinks. Food specials, entertainment, and St. Paddy's swag will be available at certain participating bars.

Kiss Me I'm Irish & Gay: The Official Gayborhood St. Patrick's Day Party — UBar, 1220 Locust St., Philadelphia

2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 17

UBar is hosting the Gayborhood's official St. Paddy's Day celebration with drink specials, food, music, and more. Attendees will get one free drink with every ticket and free t-shirts will be available while they last. And organizers want to let the public know this is not an exclusive LGBTQ party, as everyone is invited to celebrate the Irish holiday.

3rd Annual St. Patrick's Day Metal Massacre — Johnny Brenda's, 1201 N. Frankford Ave., Philadelphia

8 p.m. to midnight, Sunday, March 17

DJ GR/EG will be spinning nothing but metal tunes, all on vinyl, at this third annual St. Paddy's event in Johnny Brenda's downstairs area. This is not a ticketed event, so come as you please and bang your head with a pint or two.

Irish Fest In The Backyard Of Weavers Way Co-op — 8424 Germantown Ave., Chestnut Hull, Philadelphia

Noon to 4 p.m., Saturday, March 16

Weaver's Way Co-Op in Chestnut Hill is inviting the public to an outdoor Irish Fest in The Backyard of the Chestnut Hill store with Iron Hill Brewery. Iron Hill will be brewing Irish Red Ale with Irish Immigration Center of Philadelphia, and donating $1 of all pints sold of Irish Red Ale and O'Sullivan Stout. The store will feature traditional Irish favorites, such as corned beef and cabbage on the hot bar, corned beef sandwiches from the sandwich station, Irish cheeses, and of course Irish potatoes,

Traditional Irish music will also be on display at the event.
