Starbucks Manager Who Called Cops On Black Men Quits: Report

The manager who called police on the two black men who refused to leave the store on April 12 has left her job, according Philly.com

PHILADELPHIA – As controversy surrounds Starbucks following the arrest of two black men at a Center City Philadelphia location, the manager of that location is no longer employed there.

The company confirmed the manager left the job , according to Philly.com

Protesters called for the manager's firing after police were called to the 18th and Spruce street store Thursday, April 12 when two black men who say they were waiting for a friend refused to leave the store and had not purchased anything.

Starbucks CEO Kevin Johnson is in Philadelphia Monday and issued a statement on the incident, calling the situation "reprehensible" and said the company will reevaluate its policies.

The men were arrested in the store but were not charged as Starbucks did not want to prosecute them.
