State Senator's Son Charged With Hit-And-Run In Philadelphia
Sharif Street Jr. is charged in connection with an August 2023 incident in Philadelphia, reportedly a hit-and-run that hurt a girl.
PHILADELPHIA — The son of Pennsylvania State Sen. Sharif Street has been charged with aggravated assault by vehicle and related crimes, court records show.
Sharif Street Jr., 24, of Philadelphia, was charged in late January with accidents involving death or personal injury, aggravated assault by vehicle, simple assault, and recklessly endangering another person.
According to Action News, Street struck a 14-year-old girl at about 8:40 a.m. on Aug. 13, 2023 at Broad Street and Erie Avenue.

The girl suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The Philly Voice reports Street was charged with disorderly conduct for fighting in connection with an incident outside Mayor Cherelle Parker's Jan. 2 inauguration.
