Superteam Sixers Take National Stage In 2026-27 NBA Schedule Release

PHILADELPHIA, PA — With LeBron James and Jaylen Brown added to a squad that already features Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, and VJ Edgecombe, there's nobody the world wants to watch more than the Philadelphia 76ers.

The NBA's 2026-27 schedule release this week proved that the Sixers are officially the hottest team in the league, as an astonishing 34 of their 82 games will be nationally televised. That's tied for the most of any team in the country. The Los Angeles Lakers and defending conference champions, the New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs, also have 34 apiece.

Last year, Philly had just 14 national games.

Some of the highlights were already teased. Here's a peak at some of the other can't-miss dates on a schedule that the Sixers hope is the newly paved highway to the NBA Finals.

Oct. 20, 7 p.m. at the New York Knicks

The season opener is against the defending champions and the team that eliminated the Sixers last postseason.

Oct. 22, 7 p.m. vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers

The home opener is against LeBron's former team.

Friday, Oct. 30 vs. the New York Knicks

Another chance in game 6 for the Sixers to prove themselves, this time at home on Mischief Night. It's also a chance for the Sixers fanbase to prove themselves after Knicks fans bought up massive swaths of seats in the 2026 Eastern Conference semifinals. The game will be nationally televised on Prime.

Nov. 10 vs. the Boston Celtics

A battle against their archrival and Brown's old team, nationally televised on NBC.

Nov. 25 vs. Miami Heat, 5 p.m., Nov. 27 at Indiana Pacers, 7:30 p.m.

The Sixers play big games the day before and the day after Thanksgiving. Both opponents are expected to be among the best of the east. The Miami game, against another of LeBron's former squads, is on ESPN.

Christmas Day, 5 p.m., at the Los Angeles Lakers

A third LeBron opponent team in another primetime slot. Christmas Day basketball isn't quite Thanksgiving Day football, but it will be a huge audience on ABC.

Jan. 6, 2027 , vs. the Oklahoma City Thunder, 7:30 p.m.

The Thunder are on the short list of favorites to win it all next year, after being upset by the Spurs in the Western Conference finals. The game will be on ESPN.

Jan. 21, at Boston Celtics, 7:30 p.m.

Another chance to beat up on the Mets of the NBA, this time on Prime.

April 8, at Miami Heat, 7 p.m.

The next to last game of the season is on Prime against a squad that could be a playoff opponent.
