Swimmers Attack Philly Pool Staff After Being Told To Leave: Police
Police said three women attacked staff at a Philadelphia public pool after being told to leave due to unruly behavior.
PHILADELPHIA — Police in Philadelphia are looking for several people involved in an assault and vandalism incident at a public pool Thursday.
At about 4:25 p.m. Thursday, staff members at the McVeigh Pool, 3390 D St., were trying to get three women to leave the pool due to unruly behavior.
They refused to leave and became hostile, police said.

The women continued to stay in the pool, and the staff ultimately shut down the entire pool.
All patrons left the pool, except the three women.

The women then followed staff into the rec center building, and two of them tried to swing at staff as staff attempted to stop them from coming into the building, according to police.
Injured were 40-year-old and 17-year-old men, as well as 36-year-old, 37-year-old, and 63-year-old women.
One staff member was able to get the women outside the recreation center, but they then vandalized three vehicles that were parked outside, police said.
A Kia Sorento sustained, scratches on the hood, a Genesis Coupe sustained scratches on the hood and a broken windshield, and a Saturn sedan sustained a dent on the roof of the vehicle and scratches along the vehicle.
During this time, men got inside the building and took a bag belonging to one of the employees, which was recovered, according to police. Police said that same employee's scooter helmet was stolen.
According to Action News, the pool is now closed for the season.
