Teen Killed In Quintuple Shooting Overnight: Philadelphia Police

PHILADELPHIA – A 14-year-old boy died after being shot in the head overnight Monday into Tuesday and four others are recovering from being shot as well after a hail of gunfire rained down in Philadelphia.

Police said at about midnight Tuesday officers were called to the 2100 block of North 4th Street.

There, they found a 15-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound go the forehead.

He was rushed to St. Christopher's Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 5:51 a.m.

Four others were also shot in the incident, but all are in stable condition.

An 11-year-old boy was shot in the hip and buttocks; a 14-year-old boy was shot in the calf; a 15-year-old boy was shot in the foot; and a 24-year-old man was shot in the buttocks.

Police said it appears the teens were targeted but the 24-year-old is not believed to have been a target.

Two shooters fired at least 21 rounds, police said.

The suspects are described as only wearing dark clothing and hoodies.
