Here are the top three stories today in Philadelphia:
- On Wednesday evening, just after rush hour, Center City Philadelphia started to fill up with teenagers. Hundreds gathered around the vicinity of Market East with reports that a flash mob on social media was brewing. Trying to keep the peace didn't happen when a teenager was seen with a pistol and a pursuit ensued with Philadelphia Police. It turned out to be an air gun and one Philadelphia Police Officer was injured in the pursuit. (6abc Philadelphia)
- Over 20 shell casings were found in the street on the 3700 block of N. Carlisle Street. Inside and outside a rowhome, three men and one woman were shot last night with police still searching for a motive and a suspect. All gunshot victims were taken to Temple University Hospital. (6abc Philadelphia)
- What was a simple afternoon of getting a haircut at a local barber shop turned deadly. It was just after 1 p.m. inside the Wild Styles barbershop in Germantown when a shooter walked into the shop and opened fire, striking the victim multiple times in a rain of bullets. He was rushed to Einstein Medical Center but died from his injuries. (cbsnews.com)

- The chef from Kensington restaurant Cantina La Martina becomes a first time James Beard award nominee. It's a big year for Philly chef's — six of our chefs have been nominated for the James Beard Awards. Chef Dionicio Jimenez, the Mexican-born restaurateur, is nominated for Best Chef: Mid-Atlantic. ( 6abc Philadelphia)
- Dunphy gets YANKED from Yankees Stadium. He's one of Philadelphia's biggest fans. Rob Dunphy, made famous for his Philly Sports tattoos inked over his larger than life body, was thrown out of Yankee Stadium for starting an Eagles chant! Dunphy for MAYOR! (Philadelphia Patch)
- There was such high hopes for the Philadelphia Fashion District. It was a major re-development that took over the home of the Gallery Mall between 8-10th streets along Market Street. But high crime and low retail occupancies has caused it to be a failure and now less populated. (WHYY).
