Temple Athletics Names Lyft The 'Official Ride of the Owls'
New Lyft riders can use a special Temple-themed code to get $10 off their first. Learn more about the new partnership here.

PHILADELPHIA – As the Temple Owls look to open the home portion of their 2017-18 basketball season, Temple University Athletics has named rideshare company Lyft a new corporate partner and the "Official Ride of the Temple Owls."
Lyft will be Temple’s preferred transportation option for Temple fans traveling to or from games and events.
To kickoff the new partnership, Lyft is offering $0.99 Lyft Line rides on Temple’s campus starting Tuesday, Nov. 28 through Thursday, Nov. 30 with the promo code "TUOWLS17." Lyft Line allows passengers to share a ride with others going their same direction, thus saving up to 60 percent on ride costs.

"Taking a Lyft is a great way for our fans to get to and from games," Temple University Deputy Director of Athletics Craig Angelos said. "But this partnership is about more than that. It's about having a partner we see eye-to-eye with and who shares the same values that Temple University is founded on. We’'re proud to partner with Lyft to offer students, alumni, and fans convenient and affordable transportation."
Lyft will have a special VIP section at Owls games in the Cherry Zone student section, as well as merchandise, ride credit giveaways at basketball games throughout the season, and special Lyft "Rally Cam" video board promotions.
"We’re proud to partner with Temple Athletics to offer a safe, affordable, and reliable ride to Temple fans," Andrew Woolf, General Manager of Pennsylvania for Lyft, said. "It’s an honor to serve as the Owls' 'official ride,' and we look forward to partnering with Temple for years to come."
