Temple Student Dies After Being Found Unresponsive Monday
Breaking: The fourth-year marketing major was found unresponsive in a library Monday. Foul play is not suspected in his death.

PHILADELPHIA – A Temple University student was reportedly found dead in a library this week, adding another sad student death to the 2017-2018 academic year at the school.
Michael Paytas, 24, died after being found unresponsive Monday in the Paley Library, according to university officials.
After he was found in the library, he was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The university said there is no foul play suspected but that the Philadelphia Medical Examiners officer is investigating the cause of death.
Paytas is from Holmes, Delaware County, the school said.

He transferred to Temple in 2014 from Delaware County Community College.
"We extend our thoughts and prayers to Michael’s family, friends, classmates and faculty," Temple University President Richard M. Englert said in a statement. "We encourage any student needing support to visit Tuttleman Counseling Services at 1700 N. Broad St."
Earlier this year, the school mourned the deaths of Jenna Burleigh, Richard Dalcourt, and Cariann Denise Hithon.
