These 3 Philly Vegetarian Eateries Are Among The Best In America

OpenTable's list of the "Best Restaurants for Vegetarians in America" includes multiple spots in Philadelphia.

PHILADELPHIA — A new ranking of America's best vegetarian restaurants from the online restaurant reviewer and booking service OpenTable includes several local eateries.

Three spots around Montgomery County made the list of the top 50 in the country.

They include Bar Bombon, Charlie was a Sinner. and P.S. & Co.

"There's no doubt that plant-based dining is a trend as we're seeing increasing interest in vegetarian menu options from our diners," Caroline Potter, chief dining officer at OpenTable, said in a statement. "In honor of World Vegetarian Day, we thought it was a great moment to celebrate this change in dietary habits by spotlighting restaurants that serve up dining experiences guaranteed to satisfy any plant-based diet or omnivore appetite."

Organizers said that the honorees are based on an analysis of more than 12 million reviews from more than 30,000 restaurants around the nation.

All told, Pennsylvania had 10 winners on the list, tying with New York for the second most nationwide. California led all states with 16 restaurants.

The list was released to coincide with World Vegetarian Day on Oct. 1.
