These Are Philly's Most Popular Dog Names, New Report Says

PHILADELPHIA — Dogs: they're man's best friend. And a lot can be learned about a dog based on its name.

So what are the most popular dog names in Philadelphia?

U.S. News & World Report recently published a list of the most popular dog names in the nation, which also included the most popular dog names in the county's most populated cities.

To determine the most popular names, the publication's team analyzed data from a third-party pet insurance industry partner from September 2023 to March 2024. The data points analyzed included dog names and dog owner city and state residences, which was filtered to show the most popular dog names within the 25 most populous U.S. cities.

With those data points in mind, the publication reported Peanut, Jack, and Adonis as the first, second, and third most popular dog names in Philadelphia, respectively.

According to U.S. News & World Report, these are the top 10 dog names in the United States:

1. Bella
2. Luna
3. Max
4. Daisy
5. Charlie
6. Coco
7. Buddy
8. Lucy
9. Milo
10. Bailey
