Trump Statue Appears By Nude Sculpture In Philadelphia Park

PHILADELPHIA — A statue of former President Donald Trump was placed in a Philadelphia park recently, and the piece features Trump's infamous quote from a 2005 Access Hollywood behind-the-scenes moment.

The statue appeared in Maja Park on the Ben Franklin Parkway, according to a Patch reader.

Trump's likeness, which the reader described as about 8 feet tall, stands behind the "Maja" sculpture by artist Gerhard Marcks.

"Maja" depicts a nude woman.

At the base of the Trump statue is a quote from the 45h president.

It reads:

In honor of a lifetime of sexual assault

"I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. When you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab ’em by the p***y. You can do anything.”

The Patch reader said the statue was spotted at about 9 a.m. Wednesday.

KOIN News in Portland, Oregon Sunday reported a seemingly identical statue was placed near an art installation named "Kvinneakt" that also depicts a nude woman. That Trump statue also featured the infamous quote.

It's unclear who installed the Portland statue and the Philadelphia statue.

A representative for the Association for Public Art, which owns and maintains the sculpture, said the person or people who placed the statue are remaining anonymous and their intentions and artistic backgrounds are unknown.

The statue has been removed, according to the association.

Patch has reached out to Philadelphia's Department of Parks and Recreation and will update the story when additional details are made available.
