Warrant Issued For Germantown Shooting Suspect: Police
Jarvis Payton is wanted for allegedly shooting a person in the leg on Oct. 15 at a residence on East Walnut Lane in the Germantown area.

PHILADELPHIA – Philadelphia Police have issued a warrant for the arrest of Jarvis Payton, who is accused of shooting a person in the leg on Oct. 15 in the Germantown area.
According to police, Payton, 27, shot a male victim at about 3:33 a.m. on Oct. 15 at a home on the unit block of East Walnut Lane.
The incident began when the victim heard someone banging on his door at about that time, police said.

When he opened the door, a man armed with a handgun was standing there and shot him once in the right leg, police said.
The suspect fled the area on foot in an unknown direction, police said.

The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment and is in stable condition, police said.
Payton is described as a black male, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighs about 170 pounds. His last known address is on the 3800 block of North 18th Street, police said.
The pubic should not approach Payton if he is seen. Instead they should call 911.
