That Wasn't Fog Over Philly Monday, It Was Wildfire Smoke
Smoke from the devastating Camp and Woolsey wildfires in California made its way all the way to Philly Monday, according to NOAA.

PHILADELPHIA – Monday was a foggy day in Philadelphia. But that "fog" wasn't actually fog.
According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Monday's fog was actually smoke from the California wildfires.
NOAA images show smoke from the devastating and deadly Camp and Woolsey wildfires in California were carried by easterly winds all the way to the east coast.

Many residents in the area were perplexed by air quality warnings from weather services. Such warnings often come when smog and high pollen counts are observed, but in mid November pollen is typically not a concern and Philly isn't a smoggy city.

According to the NOAA data, the smoke hit the area by about 7 p.m. Sunday and lingered until about 10 p.m. Monday.
