Wawa's 'Schwarberfest' Offering Discounted Hoagies

PHILADELPHIA — Phillies left fielder Kyle Schwarber hit 15 home runs during Wawa Hoagiefest this year.

And now Wawa is offering deals on sandwiches as part of "Schwarberfest."

During Schwarberfest, six-inch Shorti sandwiches are $5 and 10-inch Classics are $6.

Wawa announced Schwarberfest about an hour before Schwarber hit a massive home run in Game 1 of the National League Championship Series.

Batting against San Diego Padres ace Yu Darvish, Schwarber ended a post season slump with a solo home run.

The ball traveled roughly 488 feet and had an exit velocity of about 120 miles per hour.

During Monday's game, announcers said it was the farthest in his career and the farthest at Petco Park.
