Westbound Schuylkill Expressway Jammed Near I-476 Exits

Traffic on the westbound lanes of the Schuylkill Expressway near the Interstate 476 north and south exits is jammed after a vehicle on the exit ramp spun sideways and caused backups.

PennDOT said while the vehicle itself has been cleared, traffic is moving at a crawl.

The jam has prevented snow plow trucks from further removing snow from the highway.

Officials say the back up is about an hour as of 3 p.m.
