Woman Dead After Being Struck By Vehicle Near Philly Zoo
Philadelphia Police said a 75-year-old woman died after she walked into traffic and was struck by a vehicle in West Philadelphia Sunday.
PHILADELPHIA — An elderly woman died after being struck by a vehicle near the Philadelphia Zoo Sunday afternoon.
According to Philadelphia Police, the incident occurred at about 12:42 p.m. Sunday at 41st Street and Girard Avenue.
Police said a 75-year-old woman stepped into the road in front of a silver Infinity vehicle.

The woman was struck and then pronounced dead at a hospital at 1:22 p.m.
Police said the driver, a 19-year-old man, stayed on scene.
