Woman Found Dead During 'Code Blue' In Philadelphia
According to reports, 29-year-old Makea Matthews was escorted out of a club before she went missing, then was found dead in the cold.
PHILADELPHIA — A woman was found dead outside in Philadelphia among dangerously cold temperatures about two weeks ago.
The woman, identified as 29-year-old Makea Matthews, was found unresponsive on Jan. 24 on the 2000 block of Richmond Street, police said. She was pronounced dead at about 4:49 p.m. that day.
When Matthews was found, weather conditions were frigid, and Philadelphia was under “Code Blue” status.

She was taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office, where the investigation into her cause and manner of death is ongoing.
According to Action News, Matthews was at a club on Delaware Avenue when she was escorted out for being intoxicated on Jan. 23. Matthews's friends said they initially left with her but went back in the club to look for something.

Matthews was then found the next day.
