Woman Found Dead Outside Philadelphia Church

PHILADELPHIA — A woman was found dead outside a Philadelphia church over the weekend, according to police.

Police said the discovery was made at about 8:07 a.m. on the 7200 block of Grovers Avenue, where Divine Mercy Parish church is located.

Authorities were called to the block for a report of a woman unresponsive on the steps of the church.

She was pronounced dead at 8:17 a.m.

Her identity was not released, and her cause of death had not been identified.

Police and the Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating her death.
