"For decades, WXPN has made a major commitment to local musicians showcasing their creativity and talent on all of the WXPN platforms," WXPN's Associate General Manager For Programming Bruce Warren said. "From Free At Noons to the XPoNential Music Festival; to our on-air, studio sessions and digital coverage spearheaded by John Vettese with Mike Vasilikos. Recently, with our 'Homegrown Originals' vinyl compilation and the 24-Hour Song Challenge, it only made sense to feature three of the finalists in this free music showcase, with the hopes of doing more on a regular basis. Philly and the surrounding areas are rich with incredible musicians, and we’re excited to be creating yet another outlet to showcase this music."
