UPDATE: At Least 2 Feet Of Snow In Phoenixville

There is already more than 24 inches of snow on the ground in Phoenixville, and the storm is forecasted to last at least another several hours.

According to measurements made by residents in certain parts of the borough, at about 3 p.m., snowfall had reached about 24 inches and was still coming down.

Snow drifts were piling up over four feet.

Chester County’s Emergency Operations Center reports the storm will reach upwards of 30 inches in the area.

Snow is expected to continue through Sunday morning. Residents are asked to stay off the roads and avoid travel.
