40 Dogs Up For Adoption At Phoenix Animal Rescue

A total of 40 dogs are currently up for adoption at Phoenix Animal Rescue, a locally based shelter and adoption agency.

The dog pictured above is Shelly, a three-year-old Staffordshire-terrier mix female. 

Shelly's profile reads as follows:

"This powerful girl is loving towards her people, but can be very dog selective. Shelly does bond quickly, but becomes extremely protective of people and her territory. She did not do well in an area where there were a lot of people in view around her property. She was always on alert . It is very hard to distract her when she becomes focused."

Anyone interested in adopting should first go to the Phoenix website and fill out an application. There is an adoption fee of $300 for dogs and $100 for cats. 

Adoptions cannot be made if any pets at the new owner's current home are not spayed or neutered.
