422 Lane Closures, Traffic Stoppages Set In Valley Forge Area
Lane closures and traffic stoppages around the Valley Forge area of U.S. 422 will lead to additional congestion.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Lane closures and traffic stoppages around the Valley Forge area of U.S. 422 will lead to additional congestion.
PennDOT announced that closures would begin on Thursday, Nov. 9 between Valley Forge Road and Trooper Road for various construction activities on U.S. 422, including improving ramps at both of those interchanges and the road itself along that stretch.
Stretches of the road in West Norriton, Upper Merion, and Lower Providence will be impacted.

The schedule is as follows:
· Thursday, November 9, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, lane closures with periodic 15-minute traffic stoppages are scheduled on eastbound U.S. 422 between Route 363 (Trooper Road) and Route 23 (Valley Forge Road); and
· Thursday, November 9, from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM, lane closures with periodic 15-minute traffic stoppages are scheduled on westbound U.S. 422 between Route 23 (Valley Forge Road) and Route 363 (Trooper Road).

J.D. Eckman is the general contractor on the project, which is part of an ongoing 422 rehabilitation project scheduled to be completed in May 2020.
