Active Community Member, Lifelong Phoenixville Woman, Dies at 88
SaraAnn Poinsett was involved as a Phoenixville poll worker, Meals on Wheels volunteer, and hospital Thrift Store worker.

SaraAnn Poinsett, age 88, of Phoenixville, PA, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2017 in Seasons Hospice, Phoenixville, PA. Born on September 1, 1928 in Pottsville, PA, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Bertha (Morrison) Schenck.
SaraAnn was a graduate of Phoenixville High School. She worked for Synthane Taylor and AMP Special Industries in Valley Forge, PA. SaraAnn was an active member of St. John's United Church of Christ, and was highly involved within her community as a poll worker, Meals on Wheels, and the Phoenixville Hospital Thrift Store. Family was most important to her, and she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

SaraAnn is survived by two sons, Eugene F. Poinsett of Hyde Park, NY and Patrick, husband of Debbie Poinsett of Venice, FL; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and her cat, Mittens.
Funeral service information will be announced shortly. Contributions may be made in her name to the St. John's United Church of Christ, 315 Gay Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460.
