PHOENIXVILLE, PA — The borough of Phoenixville has canceled their Fourth of July fireworks and celebration, they announced Saturday morning.
The decision was made at the recommendation of emergency professionals and the fireworks company, officials said.
The event will be rescheduled.
"We will be working with everyone involved to get a new date scheduled, and will post that information on our website and social media pages as it becomes available," the borough shared. "Thank you for your understanding, and stay safe!"
Temperatures will once again soar into the upper 90s Friday, threatening 100 degrees, with thunderstorms and rain in the evening forecast.
Phoenixville is the latest municipality to alter their plans due to the weather, with nearby Lower Providence also canceling their celebrations, and Norristown canceling their parade.
