PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Phoenixville has canceled the PXV Inside Out events planned for this weekend due to the poor air quality, they announced Friday morning.
That means that Bridge Street will remain fully open through the weekend.
Events had been planned for July 17 through July 19.
Air quality veered from bad to worse this week due to lingering high heat, humidity, and smoke blowing into the region from wildfires in Ontario.
"While we are disappointed to cancel, the safety of our community remains our top priority, and we thank you for your understanding," organizers shared.
Health officials urged residents to avoid strenuous activities outdoors and to move activities indoors if possible.
