Artisans Gallery To Host Unique Painting Reception In Phoenixville

PHOENIXVILLE, PA - Artisans Gallery and Cafe will host a unique opening reception with paintings and pottery by an exceptional local artist.

The work of Athena Spoonts will be on display and for sale at the opening reception on Sunday, January 3 from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m.

The art exhibit, entitled “The Colorful Life of Athena Spoonts: Painter and Potter” will run at the Cafe from January 3 through January 31.

The event is being organized by the Chester Springs Studio at Historic Yellow Springs.

Athena Spoonts, known to many as Tina, has created art for over 40 years. She attended classes at the Philadelphia College of Art and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.

She grew up in the Boston area, moved to California, New Hampshire, Texas, and now lives in Pennsylvania. Currently, Athena is an active participant in the many art events and classes at Chester Springs Studio in Historic Yellow Springs.
