Ashes For People on the Go at the Center of Phoenixville on Ash Wednesday

Ashes to go for people on the go in Phoenixville on Ash Wednesday, February 18, 2015

The Clergy from St. Peter’s Episcopal Church will be in the center of town between 12:45 PM and 1:45 PM on Wednesday, February 18. Clergy will be at the corner of Bridge and Main Streets and at Children’s Plaza to apply ashes on the foreheads of people who are unable to attend church on Ash Wednesday.

Ash Wednesday services with Eucharists are observed at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 121 Church Street, Phoenixville, at 7 AM, 12 Noon and 7:30 PM. However, it being a weekday many people are unable to attend church at any of these times.

This service is also offered to those who are not comfortable being in a church but have a history or connection with Ash Wednesday. This is the first year St. Peter’s Episcopal Church is offering this service in the streets of Phoenixville.
