'Battle Of The Breweries' Blood Drive Coming Up In Phoenixville

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Seven local craft breweries, wineries, and distilleries will compete to see who can recruit the most blood donors at an upcoming drive.

The event will take place on Monday, Oct. 1 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Root Down Brewing Company, located on 1. N Main Street in Phoenixville.

Participants arriving at the event should proceed to the Game Room where they will cast a vote for their favorite establishment.

“The support from Phoenixville’s business community has been outstanding,” Alana Mauger, communications manager of the Red Cross Penn Jersey Blood Services region, said in a statement. “With nine establishments on board in the first year, we can’t wait to see how this event will grow.”

Participating in the drive are Black Walnut Winery, Bluebird Distilling, Conshohocken Brewing Company, Crowded Castle Brewing Company, Rebel Hill Brewing Company, Root Down Brewing Company, Stable 12 Brewing Company, as well as Steel City Coffee House and Your Mom's Place.

All donors will receive a free t-shirt (as long as they last) and a gift from the establishment for which they vote.
