Beautiful soft woman
Born of woman
Desired by men
First desired
Then deceived
Then discarded
Beautiful soft woman
Full of child
Toddler at her feet
Yearling in the crib
Beautiful soft woman
Tired and worn
Beautiful woman
No longer soft
Harden by life
Worn by hard labor
And too little sleep
Woman no longer beautiful
Misery and heartbreak
Etched in her face
Heart hardened by lies and deception
Woman weeps as her daughter becomes
A soft beautiful woman
For she know what lies ahead
