Beloved Chester County Sheriff's Security Officer Passes Away

WEST CHESTER, PA — The Chester County Sheriff's Office and government are mourning the loss of a beloved security officer who passed away Sunday.

Harold Shore has been with the sheriff's office since November of 1994.

“He was a wonderful person, and a true gentleman,” said Chester County Sheriff Carolyn Welsh said in a statement. “Harold loved his job in the CCSO. He always treated county employees and citizens with the utmost respect. He had a genuine kindness in his demeanor and a sweet spirit. Harold was an excellent employee and a good friend to many of us. He will be missed greatly.”
