The Businesses Most Desired By Phoenixville Residents

What’s one business that doesn’t exist in Phoenixville that you wish did?

We put the question to Phoenixville Patch Facebook fans.

Although a seemingly simple question, residents had a lengthy wish list of stores and shops they’d like to see come to town.

Between hardware stores and boutique shoe stores, the majority of Patch readers seemed to agree on one business that desperately needs to make its way to town: Trader Joe’s.

What made the list? Phoenixville residents were passionate about:

• Home Depot
• Bed Bath & Beyond
• IHOP
• Hardware store
• Trader Joe’s
• Lucky Strike Bowling
• Chipotle
• Drive thru car wash
• Sushi restaurant
• Vietnamese restaurant
• Family restaurant
• Boutique shoe store

Bars were one point of contention.

“Clearly, we need more bars on Bridge Street,” said Joseph Dirt. “There doesn’t seem to be enough of them.”

“Not a bar,” said Elizabeth DeVanzo Falcone.

For now, Phoenixville residents will have to continue to dream. While there are no known plans for any of the above businesses to come to town, Stable 12 Brewing is opening this weekend.
