History and Birds on the Rapp's Dam Trailhead

French Creek Trail, 1134 Rapps Dam Rd, Phoenixville, PA, 19460

Phoenixville Public Library will host a free event, “History and Birds on the Rapp’s Dam Trailhead”, on Sunday, May 3 from 8:30 to 11:00 AM. Join retired park ranger Rick Wolf for an approximately two-mile level walk along the French Creek Trail looking for migrating and resident birds, and learn about the rich history of the immediate area. Bring binoculars and wear comfortable shoes. Rain date May 31. Take Rt. 113 to Rapp’s Dam Road, then ¼ mile to the trailhead.

Retired Park Ranger Rick Wolf has worked in New York, Alaska & Pennsylvania. In PA, Rick worked at Hopewell Furnace and Valley Forge National Historical Park. He leads trips for the West Chester Bird Club and administers their Facebook page. Rick and his wife Eleanor have birded in 7 continents of the world.
