Great American Pub Phoenixville, 148 Bridge St, Phoenixville, PA, 19460

Books on Tap, Phoenixville Public Library’s traveling book discussion group for adults in their 20s and 30s, will meet on Tuesday, May 26, 7:00 PM at Great American Pub, 148 Bridge Street, Phoenixville. The group will discuss Olga Tokarczuk’s Nobel Prize-winning novel, Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead.

In a remote Polish village, Janina devotes the dark winter days to studying astrology, translating the poetry of William Blake, and taking care of the summer homes of wealthy Warsaw residents. Her reputation as a crank and a recluse is amplified by her not-so-secret preference for the company of animals over humans. Then a neighbor, Big Foot, turns up dead. Soon other bodies are discovered, in increasingly strange circumstances. As suspicions mount, Janina inserts herself into the investigation, certain that she knows whodunit. If only anyone would pay her mind.

Copies of the book may be reserved at https://chesp.na.iiivega.com. eBook and eAudiobook copies may be reserved at https://chester.overdrive.com.

This event is free and open to the public. No registration necessary. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Email Faith Donaher at fdonaher@gmail.com for more information.
