CHESTER COUNTY, PA — A Chester County resident became the nation's first lottery-winning millionaire of 2022 when he won a special drawing just moments after the ball dropped in Times Square in New York City.

Brian Mineweaser, 49, of Honey Brook, was featured on national television on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest after he was announced as a winner.

“It’s just so surreal,” Mineweaser said, according to the Lottery. “It’s amazing to win $1 million. This will help me put my four kids through college."
