Explore plein air landscape painting and see how the beauty of the Chester County landscape can be captured through the rhythms of verticals and horizontals, the push and pull of shapes and colors, the distribution of space, and the simplification of masses. Demonstrations and discussions will further reveal how landscape painters through time have harnessed nature’s beauty to create visual power. Students may work with oil or acrylic paint.
