Chester County Offices Closed, Verizon Disabled By Storm, Phoenixville YMCA Open
Tuesday night's storm caused several county government delays and closings on Wednesday. Verizon customers were left without service.

Tuesday night’s storm caused several Chester County government offices to delay opening or to close altogether on Wednesday.
Power outages have shut down 313 West Market and the Justice Center. The Government Services Center opened on a two hour delay.
Furthermore, Verizon Wireless was disabled in Chester County by the storm.

Officials are warning residents that calls made from cellular devices to a landline are receiving a busy signal, including 9 1 1 calls.
Calls made from Verizon mobile phones will only work when dialing another Verizon cellular customer.

Crews are currently working on repairing the situation but it is not yet known when customers will have full service again.
The Phoenixville YMCA is open and they have power. If residents need to, they are welcome to stop by and shower and charge their phones.
