Chester County Officials To Address Opioid Crisis In Presentation Wednesday
"On average, 91 people die every day in the United States from opioid overdoses. That is a staggering and sobering death toll."

Chester County officials will hold a presentation on the opioid crisis that has spread across the county on Wednesday, May 10, at the Chester County Library in Exton.
The presentation, part of the Chester County School of Government series, will include speakers like District Attorney Tom Hogan and County Commissioners Chair Michelle Kichline.
Officials will provide an overview of the heroin and prescription opioid issues that are killing residents in the county and across the nation. The presentation will offer a historic overview of the problem, tracing the roots of the crisis, current data, and projections into the future. According to organizers, "much of the information to be revealed is not generally available to the public, but has been compiled through local and national law enforcement intelligence."

This is a great forum to show how many County services are working together to tackle every aspect of this life-altering problem," Kichline said.
