Chester County Recount Showed No Change in Presidential Race
The recount in Chester County showed no significant changes in the final results of the Presidential race.

The recount of votes cast in Chester County during the 2016 election is in, and there is no significant difference in the final results, according ot the county.
An order was handed down last week to recount ballots in 143 of the county's 228 precincts after a statewide recount campaign was launched by Green Party candidate Jill Stein.
The certified results of the election show that Trump lost 33 votes, Clinton lost 12 votes, and Stein lost six votes.

Trump won Pennsylvania by a count of 2,970,733 to Clinton's 2,926,441. However, Clinton soundly defeated Trump in Chester County, 141,682 to Trump's 116,114. Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson won 2,930 votes in the county, while Stein won 2,246.
The vote to recount last week was unanimous. According to Pennsylvania law, a county must conduct a recount if at least three people in a precinct request one.

Voter turnout was up significantly in numbers in 2016 within Chester County. 272,580 voters, or 76.90 percent, hit the polls this year, compared to 253,009, 74.8 percent, during the 2012 presidential election.
