'Close Encounters' Hits The Big Screen In Phoenixville
Close encounters of the 1970's kind.

For one Sunday in September in Phoenixville, it will be 1977 all over again.
The Colonial Theatre will be hosting a screening of “Close Encounters of the Third Kind,” Steven Spielberg’s science-fiction landmark hit about a man’s encounter with alien beings.
The showing will be Sunday, September 13 at 2 p.m.

It’s not the only classic film to be shown at the theatre. On August 9, there was also a showing of the classic 1941 film ”The Maltese Falcon,” and in upcoming weeks, there are a variety of classical films that will be shown on Sundays, including:
